Rising Above

Rising Above is a ministry that works with families of special needs children. Their national office is located in Cookeville. Jeff and Becky Davidson, parents of a special needs child, founded and lead this ministry. They sponsor several events each year that require volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat For Humanity provides affordable housing to qualifying families. They are a Christian organization that relies on the help of volunteers and donors. Their local office is located at 728 E. 15th Street, Cookeville, TN  38501. Local phone: 931-528-1711.

Cookeville Rescue Mission

For 38 years, the nonprofit Cookeville Rescue Mission has provided emergency, temporary shelter for the homeless. Offering two residential buildings plus a chapel, general store, salon and dental clinic, the Rescue Mission offers assistance lasting from three to 30 days.

Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic

Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic is a free medical clinic that offers confidential services, such as ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, peer counseling, and practical assistance. They also offer mobile services in communities around the Upper Cumberland.

Mustard Seed Ranch

Mustard Seed Ranch (MSR) is an interdenominational Christian ministry serving children who have been neglected, abused, orphaned or are in need of a loving family environment.

TEEN CHALLENGE

Teen Challenge is dedicated to giving hope in Jesus Christ to those struggling with addiction, and teaching them to be productive disciples for the kingdom of God. They provide a long term Christian discipleship program ministering to women struggling with life controlling issues and transition men and women into other long term Teen Challenge centers.

Next Steps for Life

The mission of Next Step for Life is providing a home to adults who gain freedom from life controlling issues through Christian discipleship, finding purpose and identity in Christ. We have a men’s home and a women’s home where students live for a year or more of teaching, work study and support in transitioning into independence. Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The vision of FCA is To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. The mission of FCA is To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Heart of the Cumberland

The mission of Heart of the Cumberland is to bring hope and healing to grieving children, teens, and adults by providing peer support groups to those on a journey through grief. Our peer support groups are offered in our community as well as in Putnam County School BEST Groups. All services are provided free of charge.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands of Putnam County is a charitable non-profit organization that provides emergency services (such as food, utilities, medical expenses, rent and gas vouchers to doctor appointments) to low-income Putnam County persons and their families.
